This chap is the world of mysteries... I recollect Osho's words when I see him "you give a thing to a child and he makes a universe out of it"
A few days back one of his cousins took him into his house and I stood at the door waving him bye and waiting for him to respond. He did not respond and did not give me even a look. There are so many times that his eyes and mind are focused on one particular thing at a time. He sees someone eating a chocolate or one of his cousins playing with something, you call him a hundred times and his ears are turned off. I really wish we could be focused on the good things in life and mute the useless stuff around, life would be bliss!!
I try and take a learning from him each day. He might have just banged his head somewhere or would have got a trashing from me but a few loving words and a hug will make him forget what just happened. I learn to forget and move on.
He would enter the kitchen and see a cucumber, tomato or banana and jump as if he's found a treasure. Cherish every little thing in life.
The sofa in the house is an adventure sport for him. He tries to climb it without caring if he'd make it or if he'd fall back. Its been a few days now and he gets some support and climbs it. He teaches to work hard to get what you want and you are sure of getting it someday (Why worry which day?)
His favourite song plays on TV and he gets up to dance moving his hands feet and waist. He plays indoors all day and when he gets to go out in the open its a festival! Live light, celebrate, Live carefree. (Why bother about how you look?)
His teaching and my learning will continue and I hope all of us to take life a little less seriously. We cannot get back our childhoods but we can sure be children all the time... Those were the golden days of life but this life as a whole is worth a lot too..
In fond memory of our childhoods, Jagjit singh's famous lines echo in my head "Ye daulat bhi le lo, Ye shoharat bhi le lo, bhale cheen lo mujhse meri jawani. magar mujhko lauta do bachpan ka saawan, wo kaagaz ki kashti, wo baarish ka paani"
Cheers!
God Bless!!
