All of us know the significance of Vijaydashmi and I wanted to write about it since morning but felt something missing. Now I know what it was... All of us know that Raavan was a remorseless and selfish demon and Ram was dutiful and righteous. Despite being a brave warrior and above all, an incarnation of God himself, Ram could not find Sita after she was abducted. Hanuman found the place where she was kept.
Ram still could not get there, he needed the creatures of the jungle to build the bridge. Even after reaching there, he could not fight the war and bring his wife back home, he needed help from the army of monkeys and his followers. The day the war was over, it was the triumph of Shri Ram over the ten headed Raavan.
It's true that Good always wins over the Evil but good can not win alone. It always needs the help at every step to be triumphant. Just like a structure can't be made by one person alone, a war can't be one by one man, we also can not fulfill our dreams alone.
In our lives, we need advice for making decisions about choosing a career / education stream or even a life partner. We need a hand to get work done, solve problems and fulfill our dreams. While in the story aid came from the various creatures of the Forest, in your and my case, it may come from a dear one, a stranger or any other living or even a non living thing. A prayer, a nasty idea, a motivational speech or just a few words of understanding would make our day. It is not important where it comes from as long as it helps us progress but it is vital for us to acknowledge the help.
No matter how little the help is, take a moment out to turn back to the person and thank them for the effort. That way, we'd not only add a name towards the fulfillment of our dream but will give the helper a reason to be happy. I'm sure the army monkeys would have been overwhelmed when Shri Ram expressed gratitude to them. Lets try and do something of the same sort to make life better for ourselves and others..
Just like help comes, we can also make sure we are of help to people and undoubtedly then, Good will prevail and Evil will be Dead!
Cheers!!
God Bless!
