Big House, but Small Family
More degrees, less Common Sense
Advance medicine, Poor Health
Man touched moon, Neighbour untouched
High income, less Peace of Mind
High IQ, less Emotions
Good Knowledge, less Wisdom and
Huge number of humans but less Humanity
Sad but True, This happens in India as well. This message from a friend evoked my thoughts... What is the true India Today???
A walk on a busy street just a day before I- Day revealed a different India to me...
The first look on the lane and my eyes paused on a man who was arranging Flags and batches. These would have been bought at half price, sold at double the price a day before Independence Day and the price becomes fourfold on I - Day!
For example, the smallest plastic flag costing 50 paise is sold at Rupee 1, and at Rs. 2 on 15th of August.
A majority of the so called "Middle Class" contributes to the Hustle bustle. College going students and Book lovers shop for photocopied versions of famous novels and books sold at a rate you can bargain up to half by kids between the age 8 - 14 years...
A two wheeler, with a rider, a pillion and two children is halted in the middle of the road and when one of their belongings fell, an old man doesn't mind picking it up and returning it safely...
I climbed up some stairs and entered the temple to find an equal number of youth to get the blessings of Lord as the oldies...
While on my way back home, an old man walked with a heavy cardboard box on his head and when he tumbled over a stone, a young lady helped him regain balance...
A little further, some girls coming from college were eve - teased and they showed the courage to confront the annoyer...
Very close to my home where a man got down from his vehicle to talk to someone and forgot to switch it off, a little kid came turned off the vehicle and ran away...
We talk a lot about the New and the Old India, the Good and the Corrupt India, the Traditional and the Contemporary India, The Developed and the Backward India, the Rich and the Poor India...
But This is the Real India...
Where people have thirst for knowledge and are cultivating the Good habit of reading.
Where clean hearted people still exist who don't think before lending a helping hand.
Where the youth respect their Traditions and Religions.
Where the young help the Old and treat them with care.
Where Girls have learnt not to take Nonsense from eve teasers and let such cases increase.
Where little kids know the Importance of our Resources.
Slowly, but we are now a part of The Awakening India!
Rise and Shine India!!!
Jai Hind!
Happy Independence...
Cheers!!
God Bless!!
